Had to go with Spaceballs. I loath Tarantino. Rocky is good, but only if seen with a large, rowdy crowd that knows the callbacks. Then it's one of the most hilarious movies on the planet. Without that, it's just dumb.

For my own additions... Return of the Living Dead, The Usual Suspects, Clerks, Evil Dead trilogy (That HAS to be up there), Highlander.

Cult Movie - A movie which was unsuccessfull in box office, but very popular in VHS or DVD.

But

What if a successfull movie in the box office is popular to a generation of people that only have seen it on VHS or DVD?

in this case "Top Gun", and "War Games" could be considered a "Cult Classic" right?

This is why this thread is going in circles.
Pulp Fiction isn't a cult classic because of the fact the it made $100 at the box office (or something to that effect).

No to your second point simply because I don't really know of any Top Gun or Wargames cult post it's box office smash.

And Spaceballs is fantastic.

Of those listed, I would have to go with Lock Stock. The only one on the list I haven't seen is Rocky Horror.

You'll get your chance, they'll play it this month on a lot of stations.

voted rocky horror. other good movies mentioned, but nothing has achieved the cult status acclaim of rocky horror. 25+ years later, and the movie is still being shown at a small number of theatres.
ripped from imdb.com/...
The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been shown continually in theaters since its release in 1975. This makes it the longest theatrical run in history.

You seem to have forgotten "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" or whatever the title is.

Also, "The Princess Bride" had quite a following at my university.
