poll: .bat or .cmd for batch files

i must be a rebel, i am 39 and only use .cmd and try to convert .bat users to .cmd use

.bat just makes me feel, ... dirty, it reminds me too much of windows 95 i think

I've been using .bat for my Microsoft batch files since DOS 3.3, man. No way in hell I'm going to stop now!

For Linux/UNIX, you don't even need an extension if you don't want one. Just chmod the sucker to be executable, and run a ./batchfile to run them.

Hmm. What to use to make BATch files....

It's not a BATCH file it it doesn't end in BAT. It's just a script.
