poll: asus m2n-e or msi k9n platinum?

there are not too many reviews or users of non-sli am2 boards. i've narrowed things down to these two boards based on price, features, and performance but i'm still having a hard time picking one for a system i'm making for my brother.

they both seem pretty evenly matched:
pro/con
msi k9n platinum:
-dual gigabit ethernet ports
-firewire onboard
-more included accessories

asus
-puts out better quality products (is that true?)
-CON: no firewire though i'm not sure my brother will utilize it (or the dual ethernet; is there even a legitimate use for it?).

i've never dealt with either msi or asus. the price difference is only about $10, which is why i'm leaning towards the msi because of the extra features. i've purchased ddr2 pc800 corsair xms memory so i don't think i should run into any memory problems with either boards.

any opinions on these boards?

what's your vote?

thanks.

I think you should go k9n platinum...the support for that board seems to be pretty good. the attention to the m2n-e support is slim, since mostly ppl are trying to solve the problems on the m2n32-sli rather than on the cheap m2n-e. for msi, both k9n sli and k9n are pretty much the same, so most problems are pretty much fixed

asus generally overclocks better than MSI and their am2 boards have reassured that. I'm planning on getting that XMS2 memory to go with my board, whatever it may be. Seems universally compatable.
