POLL: asians, do you get offended when someone refers to you as oriental?

please vote and answer appropriately, meaning if you're not east asian (chinese, korean, japanese, malaysian, etc.), please vote you're not asian/oriental.

I don't think it's a derogatory term persay, I just don't think it correctly applies to our Eastern friends. I can't ever recall being refered to as an "Occidental." If I'm a North American or Caucasian, they're Asian. Simple.

Maybe it's the PC world but I get, "Asian", a lot but never oriental.

I put "yes" but it's not so much that it actually bothers me as it just reflect's the speaker's utter ignorance and lack of tact.

When I hear someone refer to a person as "oriental," it is usually spoken by some backwoods redneck, i.e. the same type of person who still calls blacks "neg-roes."
