Im into computers and everything, but I actually have other things than just that. Some people around here play WOW and Halo 2 on the weekends. Its pretty sad.

Yes I do have the newest hardware (X2 3800+ with ATI onboard Gfx, better than P4 2.8 with "Extreme" (and I use that loosely) Graphics).
No I've never touched a worksheet on my free time.

As sad as it is I am the biggest geek I know.

i used to be a nerd... i am knowledgeable of PCs and how they work. i'm just not the power-user i once was. more of an end-user now with a lot of knowledge

No need for a pocket protector. I don't have the newest hardware, but I probably have some of the most original. I haven't met another person on the forums with my case.
And actually, I do. I did a sheet of everyones ages from that one thread. I was bored at work though, so it wasn't necessarily free time.

And yes, I'm the biggest geek I know. I have other techie friends (one's a network guru, the other is in general hardware). I'm probably the most tech excessive.

And my wife understands, and that is awesome. She even posed with my machine for me. *eg*

I'm in a "learning community" with a ton of first year engineering students, and I know very few others who are really that good at computers (my assumed definition of "geek" for this post). The few of us tend to be "specialized" in different areas, so I suppose it averages out. We spend plenty of time fixing everyone else's computers from the viruses that they get from opening emails that would scream "FAKE!!! VIRUS!!! DON'T OPEN ME OR YOUR COMPUTER WILL BE FUXORED!!!!F!@#$(" to quite a few AnandTech'ers... Well, they're probably all much smarter than I give them credit for, but the common sense is lacking in more than a few, it seems.

I seem to know more about working on computers than the two computer engineers I share the campus apartment with.
Let's see, I don't party, I don't have many friends on campus, and I only leave the apartment once on the weekend - to go grocery shopping. And I'm told that there's some big ball of hydrogen plasma some miles away that can supposedly cause changes in skin pigmentation.
Does that count?
