::Poll:: Are you stealing cable?

I pay for cable, but out of my circle of friends, I say we have a 50% stealing rate.

I never have, but my gf temporarily had free basic cable when she moved into her last apartment. The previous tenant had apparently had it for free for years. My gf even had a cable modem installed (with new cable being run into the house). About 6 months after she moved in, Comcast cut it off and now that we've moved in together, we have DirecTV.

I'm not sure whether or not I can say it's acceptable, but I can rationalize my enjoyment of it as I was paying $50/mo for digital cable at my apartment (which was just down the street) that I never watched. 😉

I pay for digital cable with comcast. We get Starz, the music channels, and DVR... it runs about $80 a month. I really wish I didnt pay for it.

I oay $40 a month only for cable modem service. Supposed to have extended cable for free with my apartment, and when I first move in, I did indeed. However now for some reason I only get 13 channel basic cable, haven't bothered to call Cox because I dont watch tv on my tv. I download my tv and watch it on my pc 😉

now I'm curious though - this poll optn about 'stealing it from your cable modem'

Where might I read about this ? is there some procedure to go about obtaining exnteded cable and/or premium channels from a cable modem connection ?

$120 is about the going rate around here with BB. Every extra cable box is $7 I believe and we have 3.
