Probably a major repost but I did a search of "scared of RIAA" and nothing so here it is.

I must admit I am so that is why I'll probably stop downloading.

Whenever I rarely use a P2P program I don't download music. Although I do need to gran an episode of Angel from kazaa. The geniuses at Fox cut an entire scene from one episode in the DVD box set. I buy the box set to have all the episodes in a nice high quality format on DVD with some nice packaging and they go and screw it up by cutting a scene out. Oy.

No, this doesn't scare me because I don't download and share in the first place.

I'm in the UK and I hardly use it and I don't care because they're a bunch of asses and I can't be bothered to waste my time worrying about asses.

Poll is really structured badly. Each potential response is two parts-what if you agree with Part A but not Part B? For example, I feel the RIAA is badly abusing the legal system and has been given a license to steal by the outrageous penalties and actual attorney fee provisions written in the present law. As such, I guess I am "afraid" of the RIAA. But the only P2P systems I use are legal to trade music only, like furthurnet.

Poll is structured badly. I have not been sharing anything for over two years, and yet still download freely. I've known for a long time they'll get the distributors first and give people like myself ample time to do what's necessary to avoid getting in trouble. If I was sharing I'd be worried, but don't forget there are MILLIONS of people on kazaa, for isntance, and they're going after only 261. They can't file suits against everbody and they know it. They're using these 261 as examples. Do you think they can bring to court millions of people? Hell no.

I like how they're scapegoating their problems on the P2P software and its users. :|
I know plenty of people who still buy CDs but with the dipping economy they're just not buying as much. I guess they feel someone should have to pay for their miseries.

Kinda... I am hesitant to download masses of songs now. :(
