You guys are misreading my post. Take the time to reflect on the questions I ask. I never said American is a race. I clearly stated that people are using American Owned as a thinly disguised White Owned banner. In that way, it is definitely a racist stance.

Just like a lot of Americans "White" use Mexicans to mean Latinos and Chinese to mean Asian. Don't tell me you don't hear that all the time.

When you white people tell me you don't equate American=White, then you are blowing smoke up everyone's butt.

I have co-workers that have been born in Korea, Poland, and the U.S.A. Guess what? They're all Americans. I think of them as Americans. I love how you generalize though, really.

Couldn't have said better myself. Anyone who thinks "American" means white, is really not paying attention.

When's the last time you saw a black guy get asked what part of Africa he was from? I've never once seen that.

BTW, I have been asked my nationality many times in my life... and I'm white. People are merely asking what nationality your family originates from. Non-Asians have a hard time telling what nationality the different Asians are.

Maybe you should thicken up that thin skin a bit?

Ya cause we didn't know that that little convenience store in Biloxi Mississipi isn't American :roll: I'm sorry but I typically don't see these signs at IT firms and I work at one.

But I have to say to Nickel: How many Asians or Blacks can tell where a person is from in Europe? Usually they just say 'white'.
