Yeah, I'm a big hockey fan, so I'll be watching that (Canada 0wnz). I also like bobsled/luge, ski jumping, aerials, snowboarding and a few other sports... I might even check out the curling. :D

That's because the women love that crap.

I don't personally mind figure skating, but I'd rather be watching bobsled. Or moguls. Or speed skating.

My wife and I like to watch the skating to watch the skaters bust ass........I love the way the networks replay all of the accidents.....I remember the last winter olympics when some woman skater got dropped on her chin.....my wife couldn't stop laughing....networks kept playing it over and over and over......

He won the gold medal for snowboarding...
(he claimed he was at a Whistler going away party and didn't inhale)
and they tried to take it away from him because
his blood test showed weed

They should have given him an extra one
;)

Weed isn't exacting performance enhancing :D

oh yeah...didn't know that was that guys name. i remember that. i don't think they should take it away since like you said it wasn't exactly performance enhancing. but i probably wouldn't let him compete unless he was clean (like the other athletes).

I'll try to watch most of the speedskating (was my sport growing up in MI), the hockey, and maybe assorted bobsled, luge, etc.

I just f*cking hate that most of the coverage will be (as always) figure skating. Just like most of the summer coverage is gymnastics. Makes you wonder what kind of pedophiles are setting up the programming as all the *cough*"women" are like 14 years old.

The opening show should be one of the best thus far.
I will try and watch all of the events that they
televise.

I would like to but NBC's Olympic coverage for the past 5 or so Olympic games has been dismal at best. IMHO the pinnacle of Olympic coverage was done when I was a kid by ABC during the 1972 Munich games. They showed almost non stop events both live and taped including the medal ceremonies (and not just ones the USA won or medaled in). There was very little of the "human interest" garbage that NBC wastes 50% of its broadcast time with.

I'll watch it, I guess whatever's on when I want to watch TV. I don't think I'll rearrange my schedule so I can watch a particular event. Maybe I need a TiVo.

<< I'm not going to be watching it.... nothing that interesting :( >>

you don't like hockey huh? :) that is only thing i REALLY want to watch..everything else, i will watch it but i won't be making sure i am in front of the TV for any of it. and i am sure that they won't show hockey for more than the USA games...which really blows.
