<<California would get hot for sure, I find that AMD get unstable when CPU is 50C and given that the temp in the room is already 40C to 46C there isn't much head room. I spose a good cooling system would help things though.>>
I dont know if thats true, AMD specified that the Thunderbirds can operate up to 80C. My CPU borders around 50C during the hottest times of the day, never showed any signed of instability. The hottest my room has been up to 110F, which is pretty hot. And my cooling system, well, lets just say that I not using a Delta 7K fan, just a low profile 4800rpm fan. So, as you can see, the AMD CPUs are very tolerant to heat, and with a solid heatsink, you'll be A-OK in summer.
