Not particularly, though they've hit places I've been stationed or deployed (Ramstein, Al Khobar)when I was elsewhere. People worry about things that are unlikely to kill them, and ignore the more valid threats. Car crashes whack over 40K folks a year, but don't get the media coverage given terrorist hits. Terrorism will be used because it has been fairly effective. If folks know they will lose a conventional war, it would be stupid to fight one.

<< I don't really see terrorists bombing Wisconsin anytime soon. >>

And no one in Oklahoma City saw it coming, either.

I live a few miles away from TMI. Im not realy afraid of the terrorists, they would make it big and I would die fast, I'm more worried about the alcholic, 8th grade education guys that work there, cant wait till we can have another nice "leak" :Q

I'm not really worried about terrorists, I'm more worried about MAD...because I live near one of the largest military tech centers and a major NASA facility...in Huntsville, Alabama.

<< Haha. Here in Iowa. What are they going to do? Hold our corn ransom? >>

Actually, there is a weapon's plant in SE Iowa. I suppose that could be a target.

that would be cool. :p

But alas, I live in an area not to frequented by T's. The only thing that might be attractive to terrorise would be the local Great America, but I would not care. It's just a nusince.

They already did. World Trade Center. (twin towers)
Let me add that I was watching TV at the time. All of a sudden the channel went blank (snow, static). So I flipped through some channels to see if they were all gone (thought it was my antenna or something, didn't have cable back then). Well some of the channels were down but not all. It wasn't until a few hours later I found out about the bombing.

Encyclopedia.com's short tidbit on the bombing

toolgirl, I got to thinking about it and realized that the Rockwell Collins headquarters would probably be a prime candidate for getting nuked.

They do a lot of high security aviation and satellite electronics from there.
