How do you handle having money? I tend to be pretty bad. I spend my pay checks the moment i get them :D

I'm terrible at it too :(
It's rare I even open my visa statements, or any other billing sent to me. I end up calling who ever and doing the minimum payment over the phone by check. I need to get my sheeet together.

I spend way too much...but I'm giving up adding to my DVD collection for the whole summer. I am however starting to buy old NES games :D But those are like $2 each :)

I'm a relaxed spender. I have money and I want to spend it really bad, all the time. But I usually don't unless I really want something, I'm spontaneous, or it's something small.

Saver! I save about 80% that I earn.
Although I will go out sometime and get me a real bad-ass new expensive toy
(Laptop, DV-Camera, etc.)

Don't you know?

The one that dies with the most toys wins! ;)

I spend quite a bit (too much), but we save quite a bit in various ways. (Mutual funds, savings account, etc.)

i would be a saver, if i could save anything, but with bills to pay and gas prices and not to mention the $12,000 loan i just took out for school...well saving isnt really an option at this point.

I spent about 1/5th of my paycheck when I used to have a job :(.

I'm looking to get a job at Sento for doing tech support. Anybody have any experience with them?

I'm in the process of transitioning from spender to saver. If I do spend money now, it's usually on something that I can buy at a second hand store, or I pick it up on sale or becuase of a promotion.

I rarely spend full, retail price on ANYTHING.

It is hard to save though with two car payments, a house payment student loan payments, and the normal "stuff" on only 1.5 incomes

I try to save as much as possible, but sometimes I can't help myself. There are just some things that I "must" have, i.e. Aiwa In-Dash MP3 Player, Gameboy Advance, Die Hard Trilogy DVD Box Set, the list goes on. My wife tries to keep me in check though, otherwise I'd have the 36" Sony Wega XBR I've had my I on.

Well, if we're using the national averages, anyone that spends the same amount that they earn, they'd be considered a saver, since as a nation, we're saving something in the negative amounts, right? Jeez... that was a really bad run-on sentence, wasn't it? :)

Traditionally, saving 5-10% of your paycheck is about normal, right?

I am on a real tight budget at the present time so I can really not save or spend very much. The worst thing is when I get depressed I tend to want to spend that gets me in trouble some times. One of these days my life will get back to "normal" whatever that may be. ;)

I'm on a tight budget ever since I bought my house. Thus I am a saver. But most of my money does go out the door, just on the house and such. But someone else in the house (StB) is a spender. I'm trying to reform her though.

I'm a super spender but my logic is you gotta spend money to save money, right?

Since I began my foray into Hot Deals April 1999 I have easily spent at least $6,000 on crap.

I save a lot, then will buy an expensive toy, only after lots of research though.

I'm a student, so saving isn't even an option right now. However, I do think that I'm more of a saver then a spender. A college student with $1000+ in the bank can't be a bad thing :) I'm another one who usually just buys one big toy every once in a while.
