I found one of those aptitude tests... apparently I'm an "inspector." Hey... I could do Chandler's job... statistical analysis and data reconfiguration, lmao.

I've always been really against using government aid unless one is about to be living under a bridge with a shopping cart.

Are you willing to let it get to that?

It takes a lot less government aid to fix a knee than to support someone on welfare for the rest of their life. I'm in the medical profession.... trust me when I say you shouldn't neglect this.

Best of luck

I'm 22, make OK money, still live at home (prefer this, it saves me money)

I guess I'm a loser, but I am happy with my life thus far!

Then you're definately not a loser! I'm 23 and the same as you, OK job, but i'm lucky in the way that my Dad works in Germany 5 days a week so I get the house to myself most of the time!😀

did you not go to college? why are you not qualified enough? are you teh dumb?

I went to an automotive college and graduated, but I can't follow that career path since I reinjured my knee part way through college. I can't stand that long or bend down under a car up on a rack on a regular basis... I use to have to ice my knee every night after class.

Other than that I have no formal education that would help me get a job.

I'm not dumb... at least I don't think so... well... I might be dumb, but I'm intelligent, if that makes sense. I know a little bit about a lot of things, more than the average person I'd say, but don't know enough about anything to get myself a job without a piece of paper that says I know what I know.

that is sad to hear.
why dont you try to get more education in some other field that you are interested in, that you would also be able to work in?

I like the thought of getting a better education (I'd go to school for the rest of my life if there was any way I could make a living doing that), but I still have $12,000 left in student loans to repay as it is, so I can't really keep stacking on top of that.
I really only have myself to blame, I didn't work hard enough in high school to get any scholarships, because of my parents' income I didn't qualify for any grants (they made JUST enough so that I didn't qualify for any).
I'm having a hard time thinking of a field I could work in... I'm not a people person, so I'd probably get fired from a retail job for being rude or "standoffish." I'm the type of person who could sit contently in a 6x6 cubicle and do data entry for 10 hours a day... unfortunately, I can't find a job like that, and all those work from home data entry things are just scams.

Any ideas?

My suggestion would be to first of get a plan to fix your knee (its fixable and the earlier you get it fixed the better it is for you).

Then at the same time, get an education in some other field(any that 'might' offer a better chance at job). I would have said computer certification thing's 3ys ago, but not anymore. I do suggest thinking about what interests you and going from there. Dont be afraid to stack on loans for education, that is one type of loan i believe is different from say getting a loan for an expensive car. Plus it should be interest free as long as you are studying. After that also, the interest rates for education loans are pretty reasonable. I would say that you nee to change your outlook about taking a loan for education because 6 out of 10 people I know are study(ing/ied) under loans. Including me - I am in the phase of returning them now.

Then you need to go out and make friends who can motivate you at times like these when you feel like a loser. Hel1 try to get a girlfriend if you dont already have one, it will have quite a positive effect on your life. Get out of the house, and do stuff. Leave the computer (games if you play them) alone.

You need to take charge of your life because nobody else will, and only you can do it. Looking at your replies I do believe that you should be able to go ahead and do some of the stuff you want to do. Persistence is the key to getting a job (and contacts). I wish you luck in thinking about what you want to do with your life and actually being able to do it.

I'm 20... live w/ my parents... I have a crappy job and go to a school i could care less about... no goals in life.. no dreams... no carreer in mind.
Guess you can call me a loser hahaha but i dont think im one 🙂

LawSchool@20 != loser in any way or form

unless loser for you is solely defined by if you have a girlfriend or not.
