you are who you think you are, a title doesn't mean a damn thing...

I'm the VP of IS at a multi-national company. our head quarters own 10+ companies that offer 50+ products and services. I'm the technology officer for all those companies. I do A LOT!

I know some people who are the CIO of their company that don't do jack sh1t and know nothing...so ya, a title is just a title.

what I do, I am probably qualified for the CIO title, but I don't really care. The added $$$$$ will be nice though 🙁
