Poll: Are RGBHV component cables better than regular 15-pin cables?

I have an (apparently) rare Viewsonic P95f non-plus with both 15-pin and RGBHV connectors on the back. I have two of these RGBHV cables, but they're both messed up. I'm wondering if it's worth getting a new one (they're pretty expensive). The 15-pin looks fine, but I don't really know how the RGBHV will look.

Is it worth it?

I use BNC cables with my dual input CRT. The IQ is ~ same between the 2 at my 1600x1200@85 desktop, but I routinely connect a second PC to the VGA port which is extremely handy.

Only worth it for connecting 2 PC's to a single monitor IMHO.
