I cant stand them myself.

I have heard of these people walking up on hunters and peeing by thier deer stands or making loud noises which would run the deer off. That would have to suck! I dont know what I would do if that ever happened to me. I do hope thier smart enought to be wearing hunters orange! Id hate to see one get shot! ;)

I love to hunt and fish both when not here all the time! :) I do belive in following the state wildlife rules for each state! Not to kill out of season. I love the wildlife very much and when hunting season isnt in I just enjoying seeing Turkey,Ducks,Deer,Doves,Sqirrels ect.. The point im trying to make is even when hunting season isnt in its not like I want to KILL all the time. But when it does I enjoy walking through the woods and scouting find rubs and deer scraps and building a deerstand to hunt from.

BTW..I cant wait for hunting season to come back in!! Nothing like deer steaks, summersauage, and jerk!

Hey bud! how ya doin"?. I am not sure if you heard about this or not, but last year some of those animal rights nuts would catch deer in a live trap, then put a Hunter's Orange Vest on the deer. Thing is, it backfiered bigtime, it made the deer easier to spot. Plus a local sporting goods store offered $5.00 for each vest turned in.

well i think animals shouldnt tortured for no reason, but you know, we gotta eat what we gotta eat, and a human life comes first no matter how you look at it. those animal support groups or whatever have thier priorties messed up, there are so many _people_ suffering and going hungry every single days.

Normally they're the stupidest of people... Just look at Bill Maher (the ugly guy on late night TV)

Well, I'm all against cruelty to animals, but hey, we're at the top of the food chain and if they don't like people hunting for food, then they can kiss my @ss.

I think there should be a balance. I think the demands of animal rights groups like PETA are sometimes unreasonable, but at the same time, animals need to be protected from being killed/tortured unnecessarily. So I would say I cautiously support animal rights groups.

NO animal sould be tortured in season or out of season. Remember the key word you have here is unnecessarily.

Nice post
Thanks :)

The very nature of the terminology, i.e., animal rights groups, demonstrates how wacko those people are.

Be glad we don't hunt deer like we catch fish! PETA would really froth at gaffing Bambi to get it into a pickup truck. :D

Help me here i am going nuts. I have been going through the constitution over and over and i cannot find any references dealing with animal rights. There is no animal bill of rights or anything. Not even a vague blanket phrase like all animals are endowed by their creator with inalienable rights. There is lots about human rights but not a thing about animal rights. ;) Personally I think most of the professional animal rights wackos don't give a rats as* about animal rights but do like the paycheck it gives them. Sort of a way of justifying their jobs.

PETA is a legal frontend for the Animal Liberation Front, BTW. An internet search on these folks is rather informative.

once, at a campground, i posted signs up saying that some animal rights group had recently freed a whole bunch of test monkeys in the area, and that if any monkeys were spotted, you should call some number. then, at night, my friends and i climbed up high in the trees and started making monkey noises and shaking the branches. :)

Life existed before the Constitution. Does that mean people had no rights before then? The Bill of Rights merely declares or describes human rights, it does not bring them into existence.

Ok we can go a bit further back than the constitution. As i recall the Bible tells us that god gave man dominion over all the creatures of the earth. Don't recall anything about God giving the animals equality with man. Of course this will have no meaning to the non christian members of the forums but there it is. My point is the extremist animal rights groups appear to have the objective of putting animals on an equal footing with humans which is ridiculous. Treating animals humanely is one thing but putting them before the welfare of our own kind is ludicrous. Using animals as a resource which they are is the natural order of things. Animals do the same thing naturally. The fact that we are the top of the food chain simply means we are the dominant species as God intended.

Personally, I dont beleive in hunting for sport (hunting for meat doesnt bother me, jsut killing things for the sole sake of seeing if you can do it). BUt most of those groups and environmentlists in general, are full of dumb people and stupid ideas.

However, if ou think it's ok for you to go shoot deer, I sdont see why anyone should bitch about them scaring the deer.

I fell that we need not be cruel just for the sake of being cruel (like animal torture), but I do not have a problem with hunting or testing on animals or anything else like that.

Hell yeah I support them. I'd rather stick up for an animal than a Republican.
