Main main system is a P4 1.5. My LAN box is a P4 1.6a and my server is a Dual AMD 1600+. Laptop is a PIII 650, but I only use it to take to fantasy sports drafts anymore.

AMD XP1800+

But I do plan to make my next rig (which will be my gaming rig), based off either the 1.60A if I can find it or the 1.8A. I believe Rodney over at 3DGameMan was able to OC his 1.8A pretty easily.

AMD Athlon-C 1.33ghz 266FSB - Main/My Machine
AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1ghz 200FSB - Sister's Machine
Intel Pentium 3 800mhz Dell (Docked) Laptop - Parent's Machine

and based on current prices I'll be building an 1800XP machine for college this fall.

I have never owned an Intel to tell you the truth.

To tell you where my loyalties are, I own 1,000 shares of AMD stock. :D

(got invited to the stockholders meeting in NY)

stock=supporting amd
pizza=mmm

Yes, but I get 1,000 seats, LOL.

I have never held the stock long enough to get the invite in the mail. I must have traded in and out of them 50 times last year alone. I made money on most of the trades, but doing my taxes sucked BIG TIME since I had to enter each trade (and commission) separately.

I am surprised by AMD's lead in the poll, but I think their user base is probably more loyal and inclined to vote (not to mention that AT types are enthusiasts and likelier to favor AMD). Intel for me - P4 1.6A at 2.1.

I use both 1.6A@2.371ghz, 1ghz Morgan@133x9=1.2ghz(will be replaced by 1600+ monday :) ) I do however use AMD for 95% of my customers builds.

The CPU doesn't matter to me that much, it's the Chipset for me, and I will only own Intel Chipsets....

Not me. AMD makes a damn good CPU.

Or maybe more people actually use AMD. These results suprise me too, but because all I read about are Intel folks posting how great their new P4 is. That would lead me to believe there are a lot more Intel users out there, but I guess the AMD users are just quiet or something.

mmmm 1.6a at 133 fsb = 2.128 GHz...mmmmmmmm...runs idle at 40ish with retail heatsink.

see thats what i dont like about amd...their retail heatsinks blow while intel retail heatsinks work good. i like how the intel ones go on the motherboard too.

EDIT: highly recommend (my motherboard): Abit SD7-533...it has dividers to make overclocking easier. you set the fsb to what you want, then choose the divider setting. with my fsb at 133, and the dividers at 4/5/2/1, my cpu is at 133, ram at 166, agp at 66, and pci at 33. all nice and perfectly stable. :)

You forgot another answer. -Both

I have 4 Intel and 3 AMD. I am biast towards AMD, but Intel had at times the better OC potential.

I still used my dual PIII 750 with a little bit of OC. Seem to work just fine for now. :)
