go to your adress area and type a website name like or yahoo or excite but dont add the .com or http:// just type the site. Then instead of pressing enter press Ctrl+enter. There you have it, IE automatically adds http://www. and .com to it. Amazing huh?

Oh man, I was so exuberant when I discovered it! I ran around Santa Monica naked for an hour.

You don't even have to push ctrl+enter, just type in 'yahoo'. It tries the TLD's in the most logical order.. .com, .net, .org, .edu, etc.. You can also do this w/ the DNS "Domain Suffix Search Order" in your TCP/IP properties.

And if you get the IE 5 power tools, you can search any of your favorite search engines directly from the toolbar:

type in:
g l33t t00184r s34rch1n9
and it automatically goes to the google results page for "l33t t00184r s34rch1n9"

y l33t t00184r s34rch1n9
goes to the yahoo results page for the same, etc.

The ctrl+enter thing is such an old feature...

But Turkey's tip is new to me. Going to try it out. Thanks.
