cliffs:
- i bumped a fs thread and a couple hours later, a moderator changed the title to reflect the price in the thread... so, i bumped again.
- some moderator (let's call him "dizzy proton donor") deletes the bump because it was a breech of forum code.
- i write an explanation as to why i didn't care about the rule.
- thread got locked and "dizzy proton donor" sent me a warning via pm.
- hilarity ensues.

well, i completely disagree. i think that's why everyone hates the hardforum moderating team... because you guys give off the attitude of having a power trip and don't care about the forum posters.... i know you're gonna probably say something about keeping things fair for everyone, but some things are in the grey area.... especially when no one else gives a crap about a valid and fair bump, regardless of whether you feel it was a bump was a bump was a bump. you might as well argue that a poor person belongs in jail for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving children (not to liken myself to a poor person who needs to feed his starving children... basically saying that your absolutism is ridiculous and you need to ease the hell up a bit in life).

Regardless of if you have new information, a new title, whatever, you are not allowed to bump your thread more than once every six hours. Fairness is applying the rules the same to everyone. That is what I do. Making an exception because you don't agree with the rules would be unfair. Leniency is leaving a bump at 5 hours and 59 minutes. A PM would work wonders to explain yourself, instead of a callout and saying that you don't care about the rules regarding bumps. The whole bit about the title change is irrelevent.

not be tolerated. This is defined in the rule as:
Furthermore, your reply was rude and disrespectful. If you have a problem with my actions, PM me to talk about it, or PM another moderator. But talking back in public is unacceptable flamming, and you will not be warned again. Next time it's a vacation.(5) No excessive BUMPING of your thread. Excessive bumping using Bump, TTT, ^^^, or other multiple wording to place your thread at the top is limited to 6 hours apart. Repeated bumping by another member within the 6 hour minimum will not be tolerated. Repeated long term bumping of a thread will not be allowed. Any abuse of the bumping rules is to be determined at the discretion of the moderators and administrators over and beyond the stated rules on a case by case basis.

you, negated the fairness. that was direct disrespect towards me. i could have easily been disrespectful right back at you, but i wasn't (not because i care that you're a moderator... it's because i don't know you). instead, i explained why i bumped the thread.
had the title of the thread been changed PRIOR to my bump, then i could understand your editing my post. however, since the title/price change was AFTER the bump, i should have been allowed leniency.
