I think some of you misunderstood.

We have a choice of getting Casio QV2300 or Nokin 990 Coolpix.

...and we'll not pay a penny out of our pocket.

I did a lot of resaerch before I bought my camera. I finally decided on the Sony F505V. It's a 3.3 MPx with 10X zoom and it can film a 40 second MPEG movie. I highly recommend it.

I had a choice between the coolpix 950 and the Olympus 3000Z,both same price..$625 shipped.
I chose the Olympus because of the flimsy feel of the Nikon's swivel :(

Hope this helps ;)

i can't recommend the cybershot series to many people

image quality is great.

BUT Sony camera's have a lag in their shooting. so, if you spot something you wanna shoot, 1) you'll shoot it several seconds late 2)it'll take you even more seconds to shoot the next picture.

but i LOVE MY CAMERA! =)

my sister bought it for me =)

Search the Hot Deals forum for either CF or CompactFlash your best bet is to go this route:
1) Find a CF at Staples.com
2) Find it for a lower price on another web site
3) Order it from Staples.com using a coupon
4) A few hours later call Staples and invoke their price match policy to price match the competitor with the lower price.

Here's a CF deal but it's a month old.

I love my Ricoh RDC-7........it's got great capabilities and I can shoot a 3.3 megapixel image too.......I think a newer version of the RDC-7 has come up, RDC-i700 ......It can directly post them on the web without any user intervenation

Neo..I take it this is your first D Camera......?
May I offer a bit of sage advice....just try the camera the way it comes because you might find that you have enough to begin with already. If you take 1600x1200 pix you will not have enough memory to take a decent amount per session. At that size you will have to scroll both ways to see the image on your monitor. It's much too big to be practicle.....if you reduce the size with photoshop, the quality will suffer. You will surely take lower res pix and you might not need the extra memory. I found this out the hard way. Another set of batteries is nice though and usefull..have fun!

I always take pictures in 640 by 480. No need for 1600 x 1200....unless it is Britney...umm..I mean my wife, Missus. ;)

The Canon S100 Elph does not support the IBM Microdrive unless IBM came out with a smaller version of it. I have one, I should know.
