Poll: About overclocking a Geforce2 MX 32MB

I have a geforce2 mx, and read the overclocking article that anandtech has, followed it and it all worked, but i didnt get the results they had listed, mine were about half as good, i dont see why i have a athlon 900@1050, raid0 on 2 wd 30 gig 7200rpm, 128 mb pc-133 ram. plz give me ideas how to get better performance out of this card

Some times you got good cores and ram sometimes you don't.
Not to meantion that anands was most likely hand picked.
What are you getting?
my MX gets core = 190 / mem = 195

i am getting 220/195, but my fps didnt go up none, still get around 43 in counterstrike. what fps do you get?

your counter-strike framerates WON'T go up...

they didn't even go up when i had the same processor and mobo w/ a ATI rage fury pro
and then switched to a geforce SDR @160core/210 mem...
and they didn't increase/decrease when i had a savage 2k video card in this system either..
in fact, i don't think they changed when i plugged a voodoo banshee in here...

the vid card isn't be stressed - benchmark the card using some crummy benchmarking utility
like 3dmark, or try quake3 demos, mdk demos, mercede's truck racing blah blah demo, evolva, etc etc...

say yea i benchmarked with 3dbenchmark2k but got pretty crappy results, only 1971 overall score

1024x768 when i got 1971 total score with 3dbenchmark2k....
if fps doesnt change in couterstrike what is a good game to test it in?

i previously gave about 4 diff. demo games available w/ benchmarking options...

again:

1) Quake 3 demo001, etc. (the test ver.)
2) Evolva demo
3) MDK demo
4) etc.

anywya, my 791mhz athlon w/ a geforce sdr @ 160/210 gievs me 5210marks.

i hate 3dmark however.

Actually, I'd have to disagree with you. Although everyone's FPS might not go up, mine certainly did and I notice a drastic increase of performace from 175/166 to 200/200. I installed the Coolbits.reg file and the performance gain has been astounding in CS. I must admit it might be different for others, but that's what happened to me.
