What are eveyones opinions on the BX-133 RAID Abit board?
Is it a good choice?Im on the verge of getting one second hand and want a solid bx board with some future.
Can i drop a solid unoced 933 or ghz into it?

abit = junk

and contradictory to its name the BX133 doesn't offical support the 133mhz FSB.. nor does any 440BX based board.

but yes you can drop those chips into it, will you hard drives and PCI devices be able with the 41mhz PCI? let alone the 89mhz AGP.

With a Radeon(i've tried), NO..... It won't go above 135. So with a 933 you are not gonna reach a gig, better off trying with a cooled 700mhz c-core.

Overall, i've had no problem with the machine i've built with it, but, i wouldn't put it into my "best buy" list

My $0.02 says they are pretty good. I am running an ABIT BE6-2 v1.2 @133 at the moment. This is slightly older than the BX133 so I would only imagine that the BX133 would be more stable. Personally I don't have any "BX133" related problems myself. I run a GeForce1 with Kingmax PC133 memory.
