I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea on how to fix this problem:

I have 4 harddrives:

1.) IBM 13G ATA66 7200RPM
2.) FUJITSU 13G ATA66 7200RPM
3.) MAXTOR 20G ATA66 7200RPM
4.) MAXTOR 40G ATA66 7200RPM

Something weird occurred was that, the only drive that works with ata66 on bp6 is the IBM 13G one, the rest (3) won't work, they work fine in ata33. Everytime when I tried to run something from those 3 drives (plug into ata66) the computer will restart itself. However, only IBM works perfectly on ata66.

Just wondering if I need to set those 3 drives into "Cable" instead of "Master/Slave" in order to make it work or if there's any driver or anything that will make them work under ata66?

P.S. I'm currently using the HPT66 1.25 and already flashed my bios and using RU bios.

Thank you in advance!

As of right now, I have 2 WD, 2 Quantum on the ATA66 controller. The only catch is that the boot drive(a thrid WD) is on the ATA33.

I can't boot from the 66, but I haven't tried to make it cable select yet. Maybe that will do the trick.

My bp6 works great. If your using win2k just dont use you hpt366 controller to boot. I have gotten it to work but its buggy. I have my ibm drive on my ata33 controller and it works great. I also have an IBM drive on the ATA66 controller. My page file is located on it as well as all my mp3's so far everything works well.
