*POLL* 8mm Mauser or 30-06

So, which caliber? Found out my Mauser is 8mm, dunno if I should keep it at that or go to 30-06 with it

They both perform about the same, so the question is how much $$ do you want to spend on ammo? The 8mm Mauser is harder to come by than the 06, but if you handload, that is a non-issue. Also, factory 8mm is usually underloaded because of the softer pre 98 mausers. If you have a 98 (third locking lug, large ring) you can usually load these to higher pressures without any danger.
