We'd need proof that the CPU is only using <= 7W during the test to validate the numbers, right?

Link for people (like me) that need something for comparison.

(Ok, I really suck at guesstimating lol)
Per AtenRa's pic, the Intel i5-3439Y with 7W SDP is a dual core w/HT that clocks in at 1.5GHz base (which it will likely be running during something like cinebench).
Per TuxDave's ling, the 3.5GHz 3770K gets 25,703 in R10 MT.
Cut that in half for dual-core w/HT estimate = 12,852
Cutting that down from 3.5GHz to 1.5GHz clockspeed yields (1.5/3.5)*12,852 = 5,508
So I take 5,508 to be the upper limit because the total on-die cache is less versus that present for the 25,703 score generated by the 3770k.
So I am voting for the "5000-5499" option.
May as well title this thread "what clock do you think the processor will be able to run both cores + HT at while consuming 7W and cooled to 80C Tj" since that's really what it's about, which is just a continuation of the argument on the other thread
I'm going to stick with my "I don't know" for now. This is going to get especially thorny if it varies per sample.. Yeah I know this is just a friendly poll but I have a feeling that with all the bickering and brand fighting on these forums whatever you vote will be shoved in your face in the future :|
An argument you imposed on yourselves without really knowing what intel is up to.
Don't even try to think about, just let it goI have no idea what you're getting at.
I have no idea what you're getting at.
Its not just me you don't understand . I asked who to come over lets see if he shows
Why Cinebench R10, instead of R11?Please predict the Cinebench R10 multithreaded score of the very first tablet that uses the new Intel i5-3439Y with 7W SDP.
Easily >7000 when using AVX2.
