There was an MTV2 special about the 22 greatest voices. Poll will be up shortly with the contenders in the order they were ranked. Personally I was surprised Jeff Buckley wasn't included but then again this is MTV.

This is strictly on just voice?

Without a doubt, Michael Jackson.

And up to Thriller, the music was actually good too

Where is Bob Dylan?

The man was a poet, not a singer.

Well, it didn't ask for "most beautiful voice." The poll asks for the "greatest voice." I think that part of what makes Bob Dylan's music great is that he sings it 🙂

I know - When they "fixed" the CSS they borked the "linking to threads" links...I dunno, it's in Forum Issues somewhere

edit: 😛

Good god, Bjork ? wtf

Eminem wtf! Jewel... sigh.. omg Alicia Krap.. whoTF came up with this?

If its vocal capability/skill alone, its Mariah Carey.

I think 2Pac has an aswesome voice for his style of music, and his lyrics are always awesome.

Definitely should be on there.. He is very talented and has an impressive range.

I was also thinking james Hetfield should be mentioned; his voice is just so awesome.

Of course no one can even come close to Daniel Weyandt of Zao. I'd like to see any "pop" singer try to sing like that for more than 10 seconds without shredding their larynx.
