<< Actually, BMW has started to use V8s on the Schnitzer/PTG team for ALMS. On their press release, BMW also mentioned for a possiblity of limited release of V8 E46 M3s if required for homologation rules. it'd probably be a racer version with limited interior and stuff.

ugh.. yes, unfortunately BMW is dropping their V8 into the M3 for their racing teams, which isn't really fair since you can't get the V8 as an option on the M3 (but man if you could.. :Q 😉) I'll admit the M3 is a sexy car, for what it is.. not the same look as a Vette but put some sweet 19"'s or 20"s, lower it.. put a V8 in there for a sweet rumble with a nice dual-dual exhaust, and I'd actually take one. shocker ain't it? but not 'till I get a torque high-HP V8. 😛
