are you saying you can get both of them for $19.99? The speakers are showing up as $89.99 for me and the microwave is $29.99 with $10 MIR

If it was each then it wouldnt be that hot of a deal! I highly doubt regular price of $199.99 would just be for 1!
 
Considering that the R30s are normally $200 each / $400 pair at Circuit City, it is certaintly quite likely that these R50s are regularly $199.99 each at outpost. $89 each is a ridiculously low price for these. I can't say anything to the quality of these speakers, but plenty of people seem to be happy with the R30s. At this speaker price range the quality of your receiver will have just as much influence over the sound of your system anyway.

Trust me, I bought these on a similar deal ($99 each) a few months ago.

And like I said... I'm not aware of a better speaker for less than $190, so this is definitely a Hot Deal.

I guess I was wrong cuz it said 1 pair per customer and they show two speakers so it seemed like it's for a pair.
 
these come one per box. i got them when they had just come out in 2002, good sounding with a pretty tall soundstage.

Ok guys they vynil/black ones are back in stock. There is still a 1 Per Customer limit.

I bought a pair of these last week, and they rock. I bough another pair today for a christmas present. You really can't beat these speakers. Don't pass these over because they are so cheap. They are usually $679 a pair.

Spotted these Polk R50 cherry models still at $89.99 at Outpost.com. Fry's has the black vinyl R50 through today for $79.99 each. Don't worry they have them on sale every other week or so. Nice speakers. Old thread revived to avoid a repost.
 
small note, the Polk info at outpost is screwed up, the detailed description is for the Monitor Series, not the R series. So i'd assume the specs are off as well.

As far as i know, the Monitor series slighty better than the R series. They are almost like the RTi series(same drivers), but with different cabnets.

Can anyone find a picture of the cherry finish ones? I need to see if they would match my furniture...
Edit: Or if you've seen them/own them, you can post a link to something that's the same shade of Cherry.

 
Has anyone tried painting them or have any advice for painting speakers? I am no audiophile but I don't see how painting them would effect and sound reproduction since the speaker grills I believe are already black I won't have to do anything with them.

Here is a link to some Monitor 50's with the Cherry finish, I would guess the color would be the same on these r50s.

I'm just a dumb guy so I can't tell if anything matches anyways, but if it doesn't I'm sure I'll hear about it and have to paint them.
