Polk DX 3055 component speakers ?

Real quick, has anyone ever heard these 5 1/4" component car speakers ? I can get them for about $90 new at frys until tomorrow. thanks a lot

I have never heard them but MSRP is $349.95.
In general I heard Polk component speakers described as a little on the bright side.

i've had good experiences with the dx line havn't tried the components, only the coax. but they were better then the EX's which i quickly returned.

good sound is subjective, listen to them first

i love my 6.5" dx's... very warm.. they have a great dome tweeter.. the 5.25's should be comparable with less bass response..

one more thing, it says that the continuous watts is 35, now i know that is really pretty low but would it be enough to sound good ?

Yes it is adequate!
You do not need massive watts on your fron t speakers!

i hope you aren't talking about your head unit.. generally those aren't 35 watts RMS

nope id be powering these with an amp (any ideas for a good amp to power these that is fairly inexpensive ?)

WTF? I've used three pairs in two completely different installs the last few weeks and couldn't be happier with them. And that was the new "economy" line.
