Just need the sub to go on sale again!

Great deal. I have had a 4.1 Polk TV setup for a year or so. The centers were always too damn expensive. This is a great price.

And skimple, I have a Dayton 12" sub. There is a deal on it right now (well actually I have the older model).

Damn, $17 for shipping. Might be worth the drive 80 or so miles.

I bought the CSi25 not long ago for $50 from Fry's. Ended up returning it because I am just very picky about sound. However, I do recommend it if you are looking for a cheap system. It's quite efficient and decently constructed. More sound dampening inside the cabin would be nice. The crossover isn't exactly high quality, but certainly better than the cheap R15s which only has a capacitor. It sounds too local, but pretty clear for dialogue. I recommend the CSi25, but NOT the R15s. This would be a problem cause you need to match the center to the fronts. Just my 2 cents.

Could run three CSi25s up front if you want to :)

Fry's B&M usually honors prices for at least 3 to 5 days. You should try calling Fry's and asking the price (also ask if they have any in stock).

For those who want something with clearer voice dialogue and better sound quality, and do not need to match up with Polk surrounds, pick up the Advent Heritage Center instead from Accessories4less for $49.99 AC shipped free. First time registrants get another $2 off with bonus points bringing the price down to $47.99 shipped. These things are beefy enough to almost use as bookshelf substitutes imho. I've demo'd quite a few cheapie < $150 center channels and this one beyond any doubt reproduced the clearest dialogue, even better than the Bic DV-52CLRB, whih i've already wrapped up and returned ;)

The free speaker shipping coupon is on their front page: http://www.accessories4less.com
- The free speaker shipping coupon will work on "some" other items as well as long as you have speakers in your shopping cart.

Link to their amps and receivers (some ship for free with the coupon): http://www.accessories4less.com/cgi-bin/category/HomeAudio

There is also the Acoustic Research ARVP42C (center channel) and Acoustic Research ARVP26 (large bookshelves). They are great speakers at blowout price from JR.com

I've got them running in a bedroom setup. They are even better than the Insiginias from Bestbuy.

anyone different?
Dead deal, though it seems to the Polk center goes on sale every two months or so now.

Do you already own Polk bookshelfs that you're trying to match with? If you don't then maybe try the deal i posted above.

i have teh r 30 and r15
need teh center channel next

besides, even when the polks are just so so quality, they are decent enough for a small room
I never heard an advent that sounds decent to my ears with the one exception, a pair of three way speakers my friend had, advent very old, but boy was that quality - no longer made :(

how do you like your advent? how does it match teh timber of the rest of your setup - I am open to change

The Advent Heritage series were designed by their Heco counterparts in Germany. In Europe Heco speakers compete well against other established brands (=expensive) and the heritage equivalents were given good reviews. In North America the Advent Heritage line competes with Infinity Primus and Athena ASxx. I have the HCenter and a pair of H200 bookshelfs but i've barely began to break them in though. One thing is certain, the HCenter is the best beyond doubt the best center i've owned so far, no straining to hear dialogue, great male and female voice reproduction, and high end parts inside including a nice crossover, fiberglass filler, 5/8" mdf, even a sponge plug to insert into the port. It matches the H200's well, and matches "well enough" with Insignia Bookshelf's and cerwin vega E-78's imho. I'm still trying out various configs and will eventually settle upon a 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 setup depending on how well everything matches up...

Here are some Advent Heritage threads over at the AVS forums:
