... if there is a devil. While plitics do allow differing points of view contend, this generally is more divisive than it's worth. All these "<blank> is bad, support <blank>" :| Of course, the other side is saying almost exactly the opposite. The results in confusion. When someone gets confused, they become distressed, and their natural tendency is to get away from whatever is distressing. I beleive this can account for the low percentage of voters. This country needs strong, unifying leadership.

While politics can get pretty down and dirty, if we did not have them, we would lose our rights and freedoms. Unfortunately, its one of those situations that you have to take the good with the bad. It is always good when people talk and argue about things like politics. Even though they may never change their own opinions, they could help educate someone else enough to be able to make their own.

Well, I think if people get confused, they should check out the facts for themselves. There is no excuse for ignorance anymore, and if they don't make the effort to learn about the politicians, then I for one don't want them voting anyway.

The facts about the politicians are often clouded, at best. And most information is negative. You end up choosing the least-bad candidate, IMO.

The only bad thing is the politicians will tell you anything they think you want to hear to get themselves elected, then it's "screw all those people, I'm in now, I can do whatever the h*ll I want....."

Politics makes me want to puke. -kd5-

There's a simple solution: vote in independents and third-party candidates and let them fix the system. They'll do it. Then if you don't like they way they manage things, vote in reps. and dems. again.

kduncan: That's why we have the ability to recall publicly elected officers.

JellyBaby: You assume that I can vote.
