What you seem to not understand is the concepts behind our founding documents are still today the best basis for our form of government. Concepts, ideas that have stood the test of time and are as pertinent today as they were 2, 3 even 800 years ago.

The founding fathers words and thoughts are of a specific time within a specific historical context.

Perhaps some of their ideas are timeless, and certainly something interesting to debate, but to say ALL their ideas and concepts are timeless is just silly.

Were they to create to body of work in todays historical context it would be quite different from an 18th century one, as it should be.
