Think about Florida...

400,000 Jewish voters
In 2008 Obama wins at least 75% of 300,000 of them
In 2012 Obama wins only 50% down to 200,000 a loss of 100,000 votes

Obama won Florida by 240,000 so a swing like that bring the state close to a tie.

Add a 5% shift in independents and Obama losses the state.

That's true, but are you sure that he'd only get 2/3 of the Jewish votes he got in 2008?

I was thinking this meant he'd might lose at most, 20% of the Jewish votes he once had. I just don't see how any rational person could consider him anti-Israel when there are people out there who want to cut off all Federal ties with all foreign nations. He's not as pro-Israel as Bachmann and Romney are; however, he's not anti-Israel, as is evidenced by the fact that he hasn't reduced foreign aid to Israel as well as the fact that his admin has voted in favor of Israel in the U.N. every time up to date.

I am not voting for him in 2012. I am only 1 vote, but I have decided he doesn't get it.

How any Jew would vote for Obama is beyond belief. He simply hates them and is the most anti-semitic president we've had.

You must have missed the smack down from Netanyahu for his complete disregard for Israel and their borders.

Or how about his church he attended for 20 years full of anti-semitic rhetoric?

You must not have been paying attention to this president.

Do not underestimate the Republicans' ability to nominate someone even scarier than Obama. Granted, that seems impossible now, but it could happen.

Not counting Huntsman and (for the sake of argument only) Romney, who on the GOP side is NOT more scary than Obama? The rest are several degrees of magnitude worse-and the way things are going only a fringe wacko is going to survive the GOP nomination process.

I'm guessing saw the degree to which hyper religious christians have been played by the GOP lately and probably saw it as an easy choice.

I love how the US not being a rubber-stamp for Israel equals this country suddenly becoming anti-semitic. I think it's the "Israel before America" mentality of many religious conservatives that is truly beyond belief. It's an extra dose of WTF from those who have somehow been able to associate (with straight faces even) the tenants of christianity with national patriotism.
