it seems that those of us that are liberal always have a really hard uphill battle to fight against the overwhelming conservative bunch. i think it's like 10:1 or something.

EDIT...

correction... I meant to say centrist and not moderate.

You wouldn?t have so many battles to fight if you weren?t wrong all the time. :)

This is asking for a flame war...

Nobody I know here has sucessfully argued and convinced another person - at least not that I've observed.
Since the days of 3dfx vs. nVidia to Intel vs. AMD there has been nothing but trolling and flame shoots. I honestly don't beleive anyone has an open mind here.

3dfx rules! nVidia SUCKS. ;)

you may find this hard to believe, but i'm a moderate.

I would have thought that people would who affiliate themselves with the left would be more against China.

Poor suffering masses vs. the greedy capitalists

Squisher=conservative who has a hard time forgetting Tieminnen Square(sp)

Most Pinkos don?t really care about people they care more about ideology. Commies have probably killed more of their own people than both World Wars combined.

The type of democracy practiced in the US is twisted. It's like that guy in waking life said: It's two sides of the same coin, do you want the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right?

Why? The right side is the traditional protector of personal freedom. And remember, Clinton was the one who was involved with China...

Or Greedy Communists vs. Free Market.

look... all i wanted was a little poll... not a treatise (sp?) on how you have one orientation and how those of a different orientation... political orientation... are big bastards.

i think conservative is the way to go, countries with socialist government are not as prosperous as those with capitalistic government

Vladimir Lenin tried a program called NEP (new economic policy) which allowed land owners to sell a small part of their land for personal gains. the test showed that people were getting better yeilds from their private crop than that of the crop which was to be owned by the people even though it was only 10% of the whole field or less. socialism has always failed and it always will fail.

*waves conservative flag* :D

gopunk: that test is hosted on, and made by libertarians
I think it's pretty accurate, not biased...
but... most people who take it, take it because they followed the link from the libertarian party's page, which means they already have libertarian leanings

lol, what would my parents say? :p

no, after reading some of the stuff on lp.org, i'm definitely not libertarian :)

there are a few things i believe in that i think libertarians would have me flogged for... one being that not everybody should have the right to have children.

oh yea, i didn't mean to imply it was biased, i was just saying that it might not be so surprising that i got libertarian if that's the most common result.

all i know is that i am as far from the 'we are all equal' as you can be
i'm not talking racialy or gender related but this relates to the scum of society vs the elite

some people think that everybody has a RIGHT to medicare. i think it is a shame when people don't recieve medical attention but then again not everybody deserves it! if you take some people who don't work for a living who demand medical support they will sometimes get it due to all media attention.

if somebody says that everybody has the right to have kids, i just think to myself "moron". i won't make specific examples but some medical conditions should just not be passed to the next generation to weaken the species.

yes it is a shame that we can't all get what we want but on the other hand, not everybody makes the cuts.

I wouldn't be here if it werent for some shot my mom got....
apparently something about how long ago my parents wouldnt have been able to get married cause something (I think something about the blood type) was incompatible and kids by them wouldnt work right
but luckily science came up with a way to solve that

I think we should push for gene research... so people can remove genetic defects from their kids before they are concieved
there are a few things I'd like to take out of my genes before I had kids if I could(for instance both my parents are diabetic, good chance I will be when I'm older... I dont want to pass that on to someone)

but I dont believe people should be restricted from having kids.... provided they are capable of caring for and providing for the kid
if the government told me I couldn't have kids cause I might pass on diabetes, I would tell them to F off and do it anyways...
I know diabetes probably isnt a reason to deny rights to have kids, but you can understand what I am saying

the day the government begins to decide who can and cannot have kids, is the day that the 2nd ammendent should be fulfilled

hehe, yea, i don't think many people will disagree with you there.... i wouldn't want to restrict such people either.

i actually wasn't talking about such medical conditions. i was picturing a nice strung out crack whore :)
