We now live in a country that completed a Presidential election a month ago, yet we have no President-Elect, but we do have ...

1) a dead Senator from Missouri going to Congress.

2) a fake President played on TV by Martin Sheen.

3) a new Senator from New York who used to be the wife of the boss of the man who may be President.

4) a Governor from Florida who is the brother of the man who may be President and son of a man who was.

5) a sitting President whose wife now will be hanging around the same men who voted to remove him from office.

6) a senior Senator from South Carolina who, under our current Constitution rules, could be appointed to be President in this standoff despite the fact that he is 98.

7) a potential Vice President who, because he did not take his name off the Connecticut Senate race, could end up being the deciding factor in how the Senate is composed.

And finally ....

8) A state where a Republican Secretary of State and a democrat Attorney General try to determine the outcome of 25 electoral votes without appearing to be partisan.

I'll take Martin Sheen if we have to have a Democrat! At least his character seems intelligent and that is who I really mean.

I like the scenario that was proposed on cnn a week or so ago..

it was where the florida legislature decides to send republican electors to washington, but after the fact, the liberal activist florida supreme court overturns sauls' ruling, and instates a recount which declares gore the winner, and demands kathering harris re-certify gore as the winner..

thus leading to 2 sets of florida electors being sent to washington. what happens then? the congress gets to vote on which set of electors to choose. the house of representatives, republican domainated, would of select the republican electors.

the senate, tied 50/50, would send the tie breaking vote to guess who... Al Gore! who would pick himself naturally, and select the democratic electors. so.. we have disagreeing congress. what happens then??

it goes BACK to the original state of the disputed electors, to the.. *drum roll*.. state governor.. J. Bush, who would appoint his own brother to the white house!

talk about trying to appear non-partisan
