I found this political compass test which is suppose to tell you were you lean politically. It is located at http://www.politicalcompass.org/. Please take the test and post your result.

Economic Left/Right: -8.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.62

Which makes sense as I tend to be more liberal and progressive minded.

Are you referring to the test I posted, or that stupid libertarian poll in the other thread? So you know I am not a libertarian. No far from it.

I'm referring to this one; not saying anything about you:) just the chart above has been around for many years - if not a decade+ - and has been posted repeatedly.:)

I've posted before how it seems to me to be Libertarian propaganda - for similar reasons to the other poll (which was the first time I saw that one).

No offense to you who just posted something of interest to you.

Not surprisingly I end up pretty much exactly opposite of Palin/Bush on this scale, which works for me.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 1.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95

Years later, and my results still haven't changed (except with a small margin of error).

Right about where I figured. Some of the questions were loaded, though. Some were too broad and there could have been specific cases within the umbrella of the question where I would have strongly agreed and others where I would have strongly disagreed.

Was I being honest or was I selecting the answers to produce an extreme score because I am freaking tired of these compass threads?

You decide....

Interesting, my score was basically -6,5, -6,5 to two significant figures. Yet when I took the political libertarian test, I only got 19 out of a possible 150 something. I am not surprised that I am measured as a political liberal or lefty, but I do conclude on a Libertarian v. Authoritarian dichotomy, there is a big difference between how someone that is a political liberal and a political libertarian view the role of government.

Of course, the above comments somewhat pre-supposes that there is an iota of predictive measurement validity in either referenced test scores, something I am not willing to blindly assume even as I comment.

I don't know about you, but I'm too lazy to answer all those questions. I merely tweaked the URL to get my extreme graph:

How many idealists are left wing vs right wing? Blindness is not limited to one side of the pole man.
