I hadn't voted in a while and my voter registration had lapsed, so a few years ago I re-registered and began voting again. When I registered, I indicated on the form the political party to which I belong.
Fast forward a few years.
This year, I have been getting all these annoying phone calls from my own political party. I get them hourly. Sometimes they masquerade as something else (like the "don't forget to set your clocks back" one I got a while back). Sometimes they are just idiots droning on about who I should vote for. Every time so far they have been a machine - not a real person. If you really want my vote, at least give me the courtesy to call me in person, and don't let your damned answering machine do your job.
Do they really think that these things are going to get votes?
I wish there was a do not call registry that covered this type of crap as well as commercial stuff.
