policy of text not in english?

If you post something that nobody can read, nobody's going to care. What language is that in your sig anyway? Babelfish couldn't handle it.

IIRC, The mods have issued warnings (or bans?) in the past for people saying things in German that they would not be allowed to say in English. I'm not sure what happens if something is posted in a language that none of the Mods know how to read, and I'm not sure that I want to test the idea myself. 😉

BTW, that looks like Latin to me. 😕

Semper ubi sub ubi! 😀

it is latin.
it translates as either "who watches the watchmen" or "who guards the guardsmen"

it is a very famous saying. things such as that make sense to me, short quotes or phrases that are in their original language and are often recognized as what they are.

my question was simply about posting things that only some members can read but is nonetheless offensive.

i tend to take it a little closer to home. i think its pretty apt for the somewhat spotty ways in which the moderators here dish out bans, etc.
although, i put it in more referring to all authority figures (ie😛olice...not so much the gods)
...its just nice that it fits well here.
