WASHINGTON ? Authorities here are now investigating the possibility that the Beltway sniper shootings are the work of multiple shooters using multiple .223-caliber rifles and traveling in multiple white vehicles, WorldNetDaily has learned.

"We're looking at that angle," said Prince Georges County Police Department Detective Paula Pascarella, working on the special ATF task force

That's a likely scenario. What I don't get is that the shooting with the tarrot card - that one didn't really fit the profile of the other shootings - none of the others had tarrot cards left and the bullet casing still there

Maybe they were clues left as red herrings. These were left behind to be found.

The tarot card could be unrelated. or could of been left by someone else...

The police should be considering these angles, BUT that doesn't mean they are viable.

Something will break soon.

How would they get a ballistic match if there was more than one rifle, unless the only match is the caliber, which is really no match at all.

Good point. My understanding is that each gun leaves a "fingerprint" on a bullet, unique to that gun. And so far they have matched all of the bullets to the same fingerprint. that would point to only one gun.

You guys also need to keep in mind that not everything said by the police or their "experts" is the truth. I'm sure a fair amount of information put out is really disinformation or attempts to communicate with/draw out the sniper(s).
