Polarized Oakley lenses...worth it?

I'm thinkin about getting Oakley Half Jackets, jet black on black iridium lenses, but i'm just not sure whether it is worth it or not to get polarized lenses? they cost a heck of a lot more...

anyone got some experiences??

Definitely get polarized lenses. Only two things really matter on a pair of sunglasses (performance-wise, not regarding style): UV protection and polarization. I won't get into the details of why polarized lenses are much better than non-polarized, but I'm sure you can find something on google about it.

I have non polarized and love my half jackets, i golf everyday so I am out in the sun a lot and the sunglass sales guy said i wouldn't need them.

Bumping an old thread, but I was just going to ask the same question about the worth of polarized lenses anyway. Any more input?

That doesn't seem to make sense. Isn't looking out over a large flat surface like a golf course on a sunny day when polarized lens would help? Or driving, boating, etc.
