Just starting out and would like to know where the best place to play poker online for real money . I heard good things out of partypoker.com and pokerroom.com but dont know what to choose?
 
why is ultimate poker so much better than partypoker? I started out with partypoker but didn't know it sucks ... I've been doing okay so far.

do royal vegas, people there are more logical, less loose cannons.
 
Everyone around me (including my dad) uses Absolutepoker.com.

Online poker is fun, but a great way to lose money.

its not cool to like partypoker apparently. Also, when people lose on partypoker, they like to blame it on the loose players or rigging instead of their own incompetence at poker.
 
most people would say UB has the best software/layout.

partypoker has the softest games at lower limits.

if you are starting out, do your homework first. otherwise you'll feel like a chump.
 
if ur good, u can win anywhere u play in the long run. doesn't matter. party and empire has the most players and games - u can pretty much find a game whenever u want...i can't say the same for any of the other sites. personally...i like to have a few accounts to deviate the play and players a little bit. the sng's at empire/party go a lot faster than those at UB, stars, pokerroom, and paradise. blind structures are different and ur intial chip count is different. if u are playing limit ring games, especially lower limits...you'll have a lot of ppl drawing you to river so remember to adjust your play accordingly.

And, that's the killer. People who shouldn't be in sometimes get incredibly lucky vs. a truly good had. Imagine a flop of A J, giving you two pair - aces and jacks. The other flop card being a 2. Then, someone going all the way to the river card on a 7 and a 2, because they had a pair of 2's, then getting lucky with another 2. Poor play + luck > Good play While those players should lose in the long run (and most do), it can completely change how well 2 good players do vs. each other at the table.

what's the best online casino for blackjack. I'm playing on casino-on-net at the moment (just the freebie) but thinking about playing for real.
 
i agree, that is why i like playing SNG NL. they will have to pay to play. nonetheless i still get callers with small pockets calling my rockets/cowboys/etc and making trips. and to be honest this past month has been extremely horrible to me. i think i've lost about 90% of my dominant all in hands by ppl making trips on river. seems like all 2 and 3 outers draw on me and it can be discouraging. but u have to wait the cold runs out...its part of the game. i think i've lost about 30 straight 200 buy in SNG's in a row on my worst run. i think any monkey cold do better than that. haha. but time and skill will compensate for the bad runs.....eventually. haha.
