make the chips worth more

blue = 50 cents
red = 10 cents
white = 5 cents works for 10 ppl @ 5.00 each

if you want to play for more you can do red 25 cents and blue 1.00 or something like that

I just went on ebay and waited for a good deal on 500 chips. got them for $100 + aluminum case shipped.

Exact same thing I did.

Check out viptrades.com. I bought some decent 8.5g clay chips for about 10 cents each. They're definately not the best out there, but much, much better than plastic.

My next purchase is either going to be these http://www.pokerchips.com/featured.html or http://www.nevadajacks.net/mall/martini_club.htm. I'm leaning towards the American Eagle with spotted edges because they don't have values printed on them. I play in a few games with different limits and chips without values just work the best, imho.

They don't splash the pot with the same noise. haha they acutally use a similar phrase to sell them.

There are different styles to choose from too. Which can be kind of hard to choose.

a) they dont look cool
b) they arent as fun to play with, cant do as many tricks
c) They are plastic, lends a fake feel to the game
d) they are interlocking, pain in the butt 🙂

were your chips clay or plastic because according to http://www.pokerchips.com/chips/plastic%20chips/ochips.html all 11.5 g chips are plastic w/ clay filling

which seems to be what most of the ebay auctions are

is pokerchips.com the only place to get 100% clay chips?

Thats what they would have you beileve 🙂.

I got a set of the composite chips (11.5 gram). They dont feel like plastic, or look like plastic. They are very high quality 😉. So "real" clay arent worth it, I ordered a few samples, but they werent that impressive compared.... look, feel the same, and the clay ones are a bit lighter (9 grams according to scale)
