Right now Costco got in another shipment of their poker chip sets.

Each set comes with:

- 500 11.5 gram poker chips
- Dealer button
- 2 decks of BEE cards
- 5 dice
- Aluminum locking carrying case.

All for 49.99. Excellent deal.

I got mine in winnipeg, but this appears to be nationwide.

okay, I have a question.. I ordered a set at overstock. (I know I paid too much).. but it came with a black chip that looks different than the rest. is that what the "- Dealer button " is? And what's it for?
Also, is there a rule as to what color is what denomination?

I wrote this a long time ago to help answer questions:

The black chip that looks different? Who knows, I'd have to see a picture. The Dealer button should say DEALER on it, and it's usually white.

It's to designate who at your table is currently acting as dealer (this is useful to curb confusion and if you have a decidated dealer (someone who isn't playing but is dealing cards) to mark which position is currently 'dealer')

There is no rule for color denomination.

Could be a dealer button. Anything can be used as a dealer button. Dealer button is a marker that lets everyone know who the dealer is. If you're playing Texas hold'em, its important to know who the dealer is because the blinds are to the left of the dealer. The dealer moves one over to the left every round.

There's not really any sort of rule as to colors. It's mostly a matter of how many chips you have of each color. The more chips you have, the less they should be worth.

Generally, my poker buddies and I use:

white = $1
red = $5
Blue = $25
Green $50
Black = $100

Ad in BLUFF MAG gives you a free case of poker chips, same thing but maybe 9.5 grams. Plus you get $100 to play with for free.

A lot of idiots playing take their free money.
