Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon...?

I bought Pearl a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it however I would like to try one of the GBA titles. Being able to get extra Pokemon for Pearl is also a main reason for purchase.

Which GBA title would you recommend? I have "completed" Red, Yellow and Gold for the GB.

Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald in addition to the GB Red and Blue redone counterpart for the GBA, FireRed and LeafGrean. With that in mind, you can surely complete the national dex.

hmm i thought pokemon pearl and diamond were only released on the DS, not the gba. Am i out of the loop or maybe cuz i dont play gba games much anymore?

There are only for DS however if you put one of the GBA games in the slot on the DS you can get some of the last gen pokemon.

Emerald without a doubt. There's also a cloning glitch in Emerald that you can exploit. 🙂 Regardless of that though, Emerald has a few more additions than Ruby/Sapphire and more Pokemon. The storyline is also a little different in Emerald.

Anyway, Emerald is the one to choose out of the E/R/S trio, since it came out last and offers more. Also, pick up either Leaf Green or Fire Red (I chose Fire Red). With Emerald, Fire Red, and the two GC games I was able to get almost every pokemon, missing only 4 or 5 iirc.

I have all of the PM games, even the old Gamboy ones. Thats why I keep the SP even tho I have a DS, so I can play the old carts. My fav so far is Emerald and the DS Diamond.
