I got the Griffin Reveal Etch graphite. I think I wanted the Reveal Etch clear or something, but they didn't have it.
Pros:
- Looks cool
- Not that big
- Fits very well
- Keeps back protected
- The back is actually not flush with the edges, so the back (covered) won't even touch any surface it's placed on. I usually set my phone on top of my wallet, and this will keep it from sliding off (which for some reason the rounded iPhone3 never did, but the flat iPhone4 would do all the time). Long story short, it won't slide around on a table/desk/etc.
- Presumably helps reception
Cons
- Even though it's supposedly one of the smallest cases you can get, it still just makes the phone "feel" bigger. Saying things like "it's only 2mm thicker!" are all great and stuff, but it just feels bigger. Probably because I'm not used to cases.
- No front screen protection
The biggest pro, I guess, is that it's quality made, and fits very snuggly with just the right openings for ports and whatever. The biggest con is that it makes the "height" of the phone (if it were lying flat on its back) like maybe 35% more (see also: the whole "it doesn't lay flat" thing I mentioned earlier). The other dimensions are minimal.
Anyway, I've never used a case, ever, for any phone (or anything else, for that matter). But I'd consider using this. I don't have a bumper to compare it to, but as far as picking free ones goes, I think I made the right choice
