Hi,

Most probably this was already asked, if so, sorry about re-asking again.

I have dyndns, and a router that updates it automatically. It's working nice.

I also have a domain registered elsewhere, and I'm interested in keeping it there.

Let's say the domain is mydomain.com

I want to create a www.mydomain.com, but I want it to point to my dyndns host service, say "test.dyndns.org" (the one automatically updated.

What do I have to do? Put a CNAME on my "www" on the domain service?

Do I have to cerate a Zone Level Service in dyndns?

Do I have to change the nameservers on my domain (in my registrar) to point to dyndns nameservers?

Thanks

If wherever your domain currently points has the ability to host custom DNS records, then, yes, you just need to create a CNAME record and point it to your dyndns host.

Or, you can have dyndns manage the DNS for that domain (probably costs money).
