I saw this yesterday on Live.. seems like this one might actually be worth the money.

I want a double-barrelled shotgun!

Yeah, the bugged O:A power armor is awesome in a game-breaking sort of way. Wish they had made that mistake with the Gauss Rifle, too. Patch time!

You can glitch a Gauss Rifle from the simulation 😛 There's a way to take out stuff to the "real world". It's pretty easy to do - managed to get a Minigun and Gauss Rifle and a Power Fist and a Sniper Rifle (actually all the weapons available in the last portion of O:A). They're not indestructible though, they have a lot of HP. So much that you can easily not see them wear. I also glitched 160k 5mm ammo the same way 😛 That's on my other toon though ("the evil redhead" 😛). She's still <20 (level! 😛).

The reason Winterized Power Armor is like that is that the devs put the wrong one in the storeroom at the end of O:A quest - you're getting the one from inside the simulation.

I got this and Broken Steel at Xmas. Had not played F3 in a year but picked it back up. BS was pretty good, well worth the cash. PL pretty good, too, worth the money.

However, something annoys me to no end!

I am a level 28 character with fully juiced Enclave armor and helmet and if I try to go toe-to-toe with one of the swamp guys like a Brawler with him in front of me and me with a minigun, I'll probably be the one to end up dying. It's just irritating to unleash dozens of rounds at point blank with armor and be beaten up by a hick with a shot gun.

Also, some of the people, like tribals, have better accuracy at range than me and that's comparing me with full health weapon, all the aiming perks, etc. and high perception.

Overall, the minigun and laster gatlings are BY FAR the most disappointing weapons in the game. I have just never found a time when they were worth using. Even in vats with a head shot they appear to frequently do less damage than a single shot from various other weapons and they take a lot of AP points to do it.

Still a hella sweet game, though.

I think the gatling laser is good outside of vats, inside vats it is worthless. the minigun is the worst, I never carry it around.

I think the devs just made the enemies in the DLC ridiculously difficult, so it wouldnt be a complete cakewalk. I turned it from hard to medium difficulty because I would rather just pwn everyone.

I just find it personally offensive that my pimped out character can't take 2-3 hicks in the forest without either darting them first or using my heavy weapons and/or mines, it's just silly!

The fire weapons are just the worst, though, even with the pyro perk, those things just crap crap crap.

Really? IMO the flamer is one of the most powerful. It's my go to weapon for fighting large groups

The flamer (especially the unique one from main game or the +DMG unique from BS) totally obliterates everything in real time. Though it's not as fun as the Gauss Rifle for example 😛 Which I totally loved! Also, all "Gatling type" guns get a serious boost from the perk you get from the zombie dude in PL (the one from the mansion). So those guns rock hard too after you get the perk.

I got that and still can't get much love out of it!

i feel glad that i have a backlog of about 2 years on games, so now i can just wait a year for the GOTY editions to come out

When I look in the mirror, for a split second, I see the shadow of Kev... (Should I be worried, or should Kev?)

I am looking forward to picking up Fallout3 GOTY, but not until I get a double dip super Hot Deal(tm), or worst case, get it from a clearance or "madness" sale, again flagged by judiciously watching the Hot Deals message boards.
