I'm looking to buy a point and shoot camera that costs up to $200. I really don't know much about cameras but i would like a good one. I've heard Canon and Nikon are the best out there?

What would you recommend?

Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm not very concerned with being able to record 1080p videos, but i am concerned about image quality. Does that came provide good image quality?

Had the Canon S95 and Nikon S8100 previously, this one blows them both away as far as PQ.

I can believe the Nikon (never been a fan of their compacts), but I have a seriously hard time believing the IQ from the ZS7 rivals the S95 in any scenario.

Beleive it. I may give the s95 a slight edge in low light conditions, but nothing else.
