That said, you've forgotten to lay ground-rules, making your "pohle" (whatever the hell that is) worthless. If Bond can use Q's stuff, then he obviously wins. Bourne is resourceful, but not THAT resourceful.

The Bourne series are the only books I know where the movies are actually better than the books (and with an entirely different plot). Ludlum is actually a worse writer than Fleming, which in itself is hard to believe. How they both sold so many copies is beyond me.

thats because Bourne's an assassin while Bond is a spy. Spies have to make contacts, sleep with beautiful female spies, and use fancy gadgetry. But yeah in a shootout I would take the assassin over the spy.

That said, even in Ian Flemming's books, Bond's character development sucks when compared to Bourne.

In hand to hand fight, with no nuclear toliet seat laser frizbees or whatever Q can conjur up, Bourne has the skills. Bond is actually a pretty average fighter besides the fact he can take a beating without messing up his shirt and hair much.

"007" is not his license to kill, just his callsign. If you watch the movies, you'd know that there is a 008 and and a 009 as well (and presumably more).
