I need to hand in a report, and I dont have any idea on how to find --> Look for literary devices. Explain how each one affects the meaning of the poem.

By literary devices I think they mean stuff like personification, alliteration, colloquial voices, etc. It shouldn't be hard.

i would start by talking about the structure of the poem, specifically how it fits the sonnet form (rhyme scheme, meter, how the subject is treated in the quatrains).

Then I would talk about word choice, imagery, symbolism (eyes, black), etc.
